Stand your Ground

You turn to face this new enemy and concentrate once again on your familiar's energy. You bundle the energy into your hand and unleash a radiant beam at the approaching monster. The white beam illuminates the tunnel in front of you revealing a giant mass of green scales and yellow eyes as it bounces harmlessly against the serpent's skin. The serpent speeds towards like an express train and opens its mouth revealing a long forked tongue. As you stand there paralized in fear it effortlessly swallows you whole.
