Cast a bolt

As the dark lord attempts to exert his dominion over you, you counter with a bolt of lightning directed straight at his throne. The glass shatters and the candles extinguish with a gust of bad air. Unfortunately, the mind of the master of evil is cunning and quick. He deflects your bolt of lightning with a wave of his hand. Your spell was not for nothing, however, as you feel his grip upon your mind loosen somewhat.
